WOW I havent updated in forever! Things have been busy busy busy here! We got a new Great Dane!!!!!!!!! Maggie Mae, King's momma! a Blue Brindlequin Great Dane! She was my Christmas/Bday presnt :) Needless 2 say i cried when I found out. PLEASE check out my website as I am adding new stuff daily! Also as you know with a lot of dogs, comes a lot of mess lol... & were washing blankets & dog bedding weekley if not more, depends on who's been laying out in the dirt/grassy area ha! OMD...StarBuck here! I am adjusting to life with not 1, but 2 Great Dane siblings!! It's got it's ups & downs but mom & I still have our one on one time..(I must say I luv when they go down for a nap BOL!) But it's fun having playmates even though mom says I get a bit rough for them now when I play but that soon will change because they will tower over me!! My safe haven for now when I want to get away form them is on teh couch, I know I know not a GREAT place to hide from a GREAT Dane lol but they are still fairly small right now :)

My Day...woke up and would not eat my breakfast without mom sitting by me, played with my toy dug through my toy basket, got on my zoomies, went on a walk down by the Boulevard, got confronted by a brown and white dog pulled so hard at the leash to see the dog!

Got FURminated, got PediPawed, got to get my teeth brushed and ears cleaned, chewed more on my bone, watched mom make digital scraps of me, watched mom drink hot chocolate while I begged and begged, and just for a change of pace I begged some more. Gonna do Tricks for Treats tomorrow,Ran through the house and messed up the couch, helped mom decorate pumpkins, literally....! Played with a GIANT stick that was bigger than my body, and now I am ZZZZzzzzz.........

WoofWoof! Well I know I have not written this week cause so much has been going on....
Well I got a bath the first of the week....and then Yesterday I got to go to the park and I played on the slides, it was so fun! And then we practiced at the park...I did Fantabulouse, (my special word!) BOL!!

Then we went to get Ice Cream at the ice cream shop and sat outside at the little cafe! We got Raspberry ice cream YUMO!! And of course I go t a little lick! Oh I have to update you on the film/movie it's going to be of my life! WOW cameras following me whatever I do..I will have to be on my best behaviour and not pull a Gnarly Marley! Mom got some pumpkins to decorate..I am helping her...OK well getting paint in my fur! Red to be exact! Mom said if we went to a dog show she would have to enter me as a BloodHound BOL!! (Cause they are a reddish color)

Anyway I have had a pawtastic week, and am resting up for more fun when I do my Tricks for Treats! OMD..almost for got to tell you..well as you know I chewed up my lion Howl-o-Ween costume..so mom got me a bumble bee costume, well yesterday mom found that I had gotten that down and was about to chew off the wing! Luckily mom got it in time,..and again she snatched it! (I must have a thing with costumes!)

I am gonna see what I can get into next BOL!!

What a fun Holiday festive day!Mom went to go pick out Pumpkins, I was like to Eat? And she was like NO to decorate! Foohey for me! Anyway she came home with three BIG pumpkins, then I hopped in the back of the truck and pulled one by the stem haha!

Then while mom was decorating she was also sweeping the patio, she swept a big pile of leaves and I ran straight for it and jumped into it then played with my stick and rolled in it BOL!! Mom is getting me used to my used to my Lion costume, (but I chewed it up) so MOM GOT ME A BUMBLE BEE COSTUME!!! I guess it serves me right for snatching my Lion costume OMD! But I wear the antennas like a pro! HOWL-o-Ween is this Saturday & I am doing Tricks-For Treats! I am doing a trick for everyone for a treat haha! Then Thursday I am doing Walks for Memories I am working that day as a Therapy Dog!

It's been a fun day now I am gonna hit the hay, I am a poet and I did not know it! BOL!!

StarBuck The Crazy Halloween Pup!

OMD WHAT A CRAZY YET FUN DAY!

OMD, what a day! And I am not kidding what a day! Well first we went to the wonderful park! aaah! I was on Cloud 9! We met a little pup who had a BIG crush one me! Then we met the giant of dog breeds....a Great Dane!!! I was quite nervous...I mine jeez, compared to that dog which by the way is named Prince, I am a toy!! (That is me and Prince there!) OMD the craziest thing of all....I saw a horse!! Yep! A mini horse...this is all backwards, a horse that could be on a leash, and a dog that could where a saddle OMD!! That is me and the horse!! ANd me and the pup, Piglet!

Then we went and practiced some and a German Shepherd and it's owner watched us, but I did perfect and did all my commands even off leash, Mom was proud! Then we headed down to The Art Park, here are pictures of me jumping and playing at The Art Park!

Now I am at home about to fall asleep as my "typist" aka my mom types this!

A Day in The Life of Buck!

WoofWoof! Yesterday got to go to PetSmart AROOH! I got a new collar, some treats (and a new costume cause I messed mine up!) BOL!! I am going to be a bumble bee...I told mom that is not very manly! But she can't get over how cute I look!

Then we went walking...a good but cold walk Brrr! Then practiced some Obedience Training, Not sure what's in store for today, but you never know....for I am a Lab Livin' The Good Life....! Mom says she is gonna bake a fresh batch of doggie cookies YUMO!!

And mom is going to she if she has all the material she needs to make some dog toys for me!!

OH NO OH NO!!! Mom caught me in the act...she found me chewing on my new Halloween costume!!! OMD....was I in deep doggie doo doo! "She said Buck no that's your Halloween Costume!" Then she snatched from me.....Can't a dog get a good chew too....I mean this was not your regular toy,....it was a lot better! BOL!!

But luckily it was not totally destroyed and I can still where it.

Arf, Arf! It's your Pup Pal StarBuck here! I have I guess you would say a love for a thing....something red, chewy, and has stuff stuffed in it.....you guessed it...The KONG! AROOH! Most dogs have trouble getting the treats out,,....But I have a theory....

1. Start Rolling the Kong as hard as you can, (to make the treat fall out! BOL!!)

2.Start Licking, Licking,Licking....(to make the treat softer and easier to get BOL!!)

3. Last but certainly not least,...start chewing on it and squeezing it to make the treats fall out!

It is the quintessential dog toy!! What dog does not love the KONG? Mom is gonna bake a fresh batch of doggie treats, I am gonna go supervise ;) ;)

What a wonderful day! We went and walked down the Boulevard and the and mom, once again broke out the camera...jeez can't a pup get a break....but I love mom,....and she means well! She call them my Happy Harvest pictures, (cause they are all for the fall!) I little scruffy dog came up to me named Bella, I think she was rather fond of me....(ok, maybe to fond BOL!) And mom baked some YUMO doggie treats!!! AROOH!!! They even have sweet potato in them...they were heavenly! SHe has the Three Dog Bakery CookBook!

We practiced some Conformation & Agility and mom switched up the agility course....oh well I will get the hang of it, for I am a labbie...that is what we do best and want to do please our master, play, Have you ever heard the saying "My Lab is Smarter than your honor Student" Yeah, we smart! Well I am off to have some dinner and mom says time to brush your toofers!!! OMD!!

Howdy it's Buckaroo! I went Tracking! Arooh!! Being a Sporting dog it was quite easy to learn we got some information at www.akc.org here is what they said:

Getting started in tracking is easy, and you
won’t find a more willing participant! A
puppy instinctively uses his nose – training
your dog to track simply hones his natural
ability. And since all dogs have a natural
ability to follow a scent, any breed is capable
of learning to track.

Tracking requires very little equipment.You
just need a harness, a 20-to-40 foot lead, a
few flags to mark your track and an open
grassy area free of obstacles such as roads,
ditches or woods.

That is from te AKC's website. Mom had me track a "duck" "decoy" Qualarification: Fake Duck BOL!! Anyway she sented it with a liver smell and our park had a HUGE field away from all the playsets..and she hid it. And I was on a harness & long leash and she said "Find It" And I took of "Sniff,Sniff,Sniff."

And Guess What...I found it!! Arooh!..Boy were we happy..I LOVE Tracking..(it's my natural instinct!) BOL!! maybe I should go tracking by these flowers over here??

WoofWoof! Well us dogs have a fascination or obsession with something, whether it be a toy, or whatever it is! My fascination is.....MY Baseball! AROOH! And me being a retriever I just love to retrieve it! aaah! And yesterday mommy took me to the park and I also got to play in a baseball field,..that's every baseball loving dog's dream right (or atleast mine!)

Why I Love My BaseBall:

It's Genuine Leather...(yumo to chew on!)

It's fun to retrieve

It's fun to go get it then get on my "Zoomies" And run with it in my mouth BOL!!

If you listen closely and just sit with me only if for 15 minutes, I may tell you about the fun of chasing a baseball!

My mommy says, I am her chocolate fudge Ice cream on a hot summers' day, or The Chocolate Chip in the Cookie of Life...well my Baseball is like that to me!! AAaaah what I great Life I have!

Oh Boy well I got a bath the other day....Splish Splash I was taking a bath..yep that's me!! And being Fall and getting colder outside, mom has started bathing me inside...so after I take my bath I have to go in my CRATE it makes me Crazy, Rowdy, Tenacious, Excited! Anyway I go in the crate with a heater outside to warm me up :) Enough about baths, & crates...let's get to the fun stuff!

Any dog would want to be in my paws right now.....for I get to go to the park again AROOH!! 2 days in a row! I finally talked mom into it AROOH! OMD....what a day! And I think mom might bake me some doggie treats YUMO!!

A Lab Livin' The Good Life

I had the best day, a day, any Lab would love! First, we went to the park!! We walked a long trail that the Rotary Club built and I was I guess what you could call the Canine Ambassador for the trail, for the club took my picture on it and put it in the presentation! Then I stopped to admire the beautiful lake or what I like to call harbor which has a beautiful fountain in it!

Then after the walk the park has several baseball fields in it...one empty, so we went in it and I got on, what I call the "Zoomies" in the field! Great place it's like my own personal dog park BOL!! After the field, & the park we headed to town and we passes several places until' mom pulled into a shopping/cafe type pavilion, she went into a Creamery and we sat at a little cafe type thing and ate our Blueberry ice cream YUMO!! What a day! Everyone was going goo goo over me too haha! BOL!

We got home and practiced Agility & Conformation, then played some Frisbee :) ;) Now it is time to relax & Zzzzz, Zzzz...oh I must have fallen asleep, I think I will go chew on my KONG toy in my bed!

Not So Gaurd Dog StarBuck

OMD.....a crazy peculiar day it was. We were going on our evening walk as always, but my ears perked up as I heard a weird BUZZ, EEK! OMD!! There was something brownish on the ground making an awfully weird noise, I coked my head, backed up...but did not make a sound...I did not want that thing to hurt me! Mom kept saying "What is it StarBuck?" "What is it?"

Did anyone know what this strange, yet oddly fascinating thing was? Then mom turned it over on it's back...I thought mom, mom don't, you could get hurt. Then mom told me it was just a locust bug. I felt like hiding in a dog house....I felt embarrassed, OK, & Safe, but embarrassed! So much for a guard dog...but mom did not care...she loved that I was a snuggle bug not a guard dog..."Good mom, cause that is all your gonna get!)

WoofWoof! OMD,....I just had a puppy playdate with the neighbor dog, Camo. Her owner called on behalf of her,...to see if she could come over & play, and so they headed over and we went on a nice stroll through the Boulevard, then headed back to my house, and me being the lover boy that I am had to show off, I took a leap on our big pool and Camo, I think she had a BIG crush on me after that, though she had a crush on me before, this time she really thought me leaping into the pool was pawsome!! ;) ;)

We hit it off and hope to see more of Camo...she is a goof furfriend! & that was a big day for me...oh what a day!

My Day At The Creek

I went to Arkansas to a creek this past August,and met up with three cute Corgis! And normally I am a calm, mellow, happy go lucky, and I was but I got out there,and being a boy doggie,I had to mark my spot, my mom says “How embarrassing!” Anyway the boy dog, Shorty and I hit it off, we were like PB & J! He kept trying to jump up and lick my snout,pretty far up for a doggie of that size! BOL!! We made our way down to the creek, and me being a 100% water-loving Lab,I dove right in! SPLASH! Mom looked over and saw me with my snout in the water!! I swam and swam!!

Then, mom grabbed a stick, and said “StarBuck, fetch” I plunged into the water put my snout in ran out of the creek, stick in my mouth and got on what I like to call ‘Zoomies’ I ran all over that field!! The little Corgi dogs trying to chase me! BOL!! Then the baby of the Corgi bunch, was scared of water,but wanted to follow me SOOO bad, she barked at the water,ran through so fast,(well, as fast as her little legs could go!) But I helped her overcome her fears! Like mom always says “He is one Caliber Canine!”

After a long day at play I went over to a sand dune by the edge of the creek,and I dug myself a hole and plopped right down to catch some sun rays & Zzzz’s, and of course, my side kick Shorty came over to me and snuggled beside me! I trecked through the woods,and played with the other Corgi, Molly,but she loves to chase things and every time I would get the Zoomies, she would run after me!! Even the oddest of kind can make the Cutest Pair, because even though The Corgis & I had a size difference, we became the Best of Pals!!

HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN!

BOO! It's Just me,...StarBuck The Pup! I have heard mommy talking to me about this thing called Halloween....And she got me this frilly collar for it...(I was a bit embarrassed!) Anyway...I was getting into the decorating, while mommy planted new fall flowers,...I rolled in the grass, BOL!! And then she put scare crows out and put a wreath on the door, Then she took out the Camera. She says it's a must that she takes my picture for it is my first Halloween. AROOH! SO after that I could smell a sweet aroma of something, and I saw the big silver thing (as mom calls it, the cookie sheet) go into the big white thing....then she took the pumpkin shaped cookies out and she called me over...and I got one,,,...she had made me treats for the holidays YUMO!! It was getting cool out, the leaves changing...oh I just love Fall! (and there is a lot of cooking going on for the Holidays, maybe someone will sneak me food under the table,I got my paws crossed!)

And today we get to go to the park! A beautiful crisp fall day....perfect for walks! What a day,..well I am gonna go help mom put the finishing touches on the decorating...(for I am the brains behind the operation,OK, the encourager, BOL!)

My Dream Day & Questions that Haunt Every Doggie

I think humans are one of the most fascinating things.I also thing that that thing that they talk into,and that makes noises,and that is sqare shape...I think I have heard my mommy say The Cell Phone.Me being an Assistance Dog well I go and sometimes retrieve it for her and I have to say that thing is no Milk Bone BOL!!!! But there are many other things I find odd.I mean a Memory Foam mattress...I assumed they just slept on a PetSmart dog bed!!!! And then there are spoons I mean don't they just eat finger food or gobble it up like me??? These still haunt me today??? Day after Day I practice training...but can't you just give a dog a break? My dream day would be to wake up and to be surrounded by milk bones...& jumbo bones and chew my mommy's shoes up...and get into the trash and be off-leash...oh yeah...did I mention get into the trash!

OMD!!! I went to the Responsible Dog Ownership Day,in Dallas,present by the Dallas FT, Worth Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club,I was the only Lab,BOL,but mom and i took a Handling Clinic,and the lady said she wants my mom too spend next summer with her and travel the Dog Show Circuit!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???!!! I own the Mutt Strut,which is like Conformation,I won Best Trick,I also one Favorite Non-Cavalier Companion!!!! :O!!!! :D & an AKC Trainer who does the Canine Good Citizenship,told us that he has not seen such a well trained dog in a long time,and told my mom if she kept it up she could be one of the best out there!!! I love my mommy :)

And as for Conformation,I told you about next summer,and the AKC Judge used us as an example,and said I had a great neck,and plus I won The Mutt Strut!!!Everyone kept coming up tom my mom she felt famous!! And we met an Author,and she has a book series so if you go to www.littlegabbybooks.com you can look,and guess what....the author wants to read my moms stories...my mommy is on cloud 9!!!

We had been planning to take Buck to Dallas to Three Dog Bakery,and the day finnally had arrived! Thank the Lord Buck is a good traveler because it is a three hour trip.The first thing we did was get checked into our hotel,when we got in our room there was a designer dog bed,dog treats,and a hotel dog tag! Once we got settled in the hotel room we took Buck to Three Dog Bakery.The moment we stepped foot in the door way the workers loved Buck and they came out with a big blob of icing to give Buck! The treats just kept coming for him they brought out doggie truffles and doggie carrot cake and more.They let me his owner decorate Easter eggs for him,and they gave me a certificate to spend a whole day baking with them at Three Dog Bakery!!!

I had an accident in the pool.Well we are waiting for it to warm up and I have been jumping in the pool with the cover on,and today was the day that the cover came off!!! I almost drowned because I got tangled up in some wires that had help the cover on.I am ok now and now I have hurt my leg from the accident and am now on meds.We are going to get a No-Slip ramp for me,a life jacket and we are building a deck!!! We went to PetSmart and I got a little pool and sometoys that I buried under the shed!!! We were going to the book store and Buck had been doing better being home alone,so we took for a trial run and decided to go get a cup of coffee and go to the book store.Before we left we puppy proofed the house,we thought it was safe to leave him alone.We were heading out the door and I took a peek through the window and I saw Buck up on top of the kitchen table! Well we went ahead and left.We spent several hours at the book store visiting.We had no idea what was in store for us that evening.We pulled into the carport and there sat Buck,looking through the window wating for us.We opened the door and were greeted by a crazy slobbering Buck!!! We walked into the kitchen and there sat the chocolate chip cake half eaten,there was coffee in the sink,he had eaten the cake,got in the sink drank StarBuck's Coffee,and so be it his name,StarBuck,a.k.a. Buck!!!! We no better now than to leave a dog with seperation anxiety home alone,we got a crate,and now Buck hates the crate because he knows that means we are leaving!

Well we have just moved and no one really knows me yet,orso I thought.It was our sond night and mom left me in the backyard....well I jumped the fence,I know great way to get to know the neighbors huh!!!Well mom got me back and I had to stay in the house or a while and not aloud to out alone!!! Mom went to PetSmart and bought me "doggles" doggie sunglasses,now when we go out for our walk I walk in style!We wereout walking and we came across this ladie with her 13 year old dog named Allie,course me and Allie hit it off and the ladie was nice.She said that she used to have a Lab.She asked, "Is this the dog who jumps the fence and wears sunglasses?" And all my mom said was, "Yep." Guess Mom was thinking, "What a reputation!!!" Well now the whole neighborhood kows me as the dog that jumps the fence an wears sunglasses!!!

1.Begg.That may sound crazy but people LOVE that and it makes you look cute and when you look cute no garuntees but you might get a treat!2.Learn to eat carrots.I know I did not like them at first but hey...if that is the only thing there gonna give me under the table i'll take it!3.Fetch: Most defianantly learn how to fetch! Kids and Adults will love a playful dog BOL!!4.DO NOT disobey...it will only get you put in your kennel or crate!(which has happened 2 me cause I ate a choc.chip cake without mommy watching!)5. The MOST IMPORTANT Be FaithFul,Loyal and True :)

Back From The BIG Dog Show!!

Howdy Gang! I am back from my BIG dog show in Longveiw Tx.!! For my first show it was a biggie dogs from 300,to 5lbs. :O And we got up at 7AM and dogs barked and I could hear them through the walls and I barked at the walls I was in a sound sleep ao it startled me BOL!! But anyway we got there and they did not have the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test sign up sheets and we were back and fourth all day!!We did not do the test until' around 6:00 PM so a lot of waiting I loved the toy group and I sat there like a good citizen BOL!! Then was the test...Mom and I were number 2 and she was shaking from head to toe poor mom,I knew she was nervous :( But we passed!!!! Aroooh!! My first BIG event in a ring and other pups arounf me and Mom says I was perfect!! I also got to meet my good pal Jack and we had a blast and both did the CGC! I admire Jack ;)One of mom's favorite part was the vendors BOL!! She got the prettiest blown glass Labrador Retriever pin for her shirt :) :D and got this special detergent that repels fleas and smells like sugar cookies YUMO BOL!! She also got me a special show lead and special slip collar/lead and some grooming spray :) :D My favorite part was being with her and sleeping in the middle of the hotel bed BOL!!
